could it be that your new white face gauges are not flush and the speedo needle isn't allowed to sweep properly.. I know with mine my gas gauge the needle rubs a little when i fill her up.. also the best way to do it is pace with another car and drive 10 miles and see how many miles you have went and take all your info and ask DM... then the should give you a code that is correct for everything..
Thanks for the info. I don't believe that the needle is rubbing on the gauges, buti will check it. I have been trying to contact DM for a couple of weeks now with no reply. If the needle has been moved will that affect it speed (i.e. if it wasn't put back on the needle pin in the exact position that it came from)? Cause I did notice that whenI come to a stop the need doesn't go all the way to the stop pin.
That could be your problem. Easy fix tack off the cover and pull the needle. go on the freeway with a friend and put on the cruise control. Have him tell you how fast you are going and put the needle back on.

if you took the needles completely off and replaced them, yes they could be not on the exact same spot as before.. Luckly for me, i was able to just pull the needles up a little bit and slide my white face gauges over them..
