Default Bucket results from today

Well, first of all...the track announced the wrong time for the Centex Challenge, so everyone got to the track too late to race. So, I was stuck just running test-n-tune.

This was the first time at the track with the new 28" tires VS the 26" tires I am used to running. Also, we got the UPR Drag anti-roll bar install finished around 2:30 this morning. The first run, the car spun HARD in first, shifted to second and got MASSIVE traction and fell on it's face. I ran a 13.9@108mph with a 2.4 60'.

I called Brian from THR and made some adjustments. The car got a little better by softening the struts and shocks. Then all the bad luck and scarey moments started happening. I made a pass, looked at my gauges and my oil pressure gauge read 0. My heart skipped a beat...I looked over at the stock gauge and it was showing normal. I checked everything and all looked fine. So, either the sending unit went out or burned the wire to the sending unit.

Made a few more adjustments and the the DAMN **** on the passenger side Strange strut broke off. Now, all adjustments were done via pliers. UUGGHH. However, car was getting a little better. Then, I made a pass and the car ran horrible and just didn't feel right. I got back to the pits and started checking the car.It was missing bad and again, my heart skipped a beat. Come to find out, the connector to the coil pack on the passenger side all the way back, by the firewall had come off for some reason. I plugged it back in and the car ran like a champ.

I made 4 more passes and the car was running consistent 12.4's @111mph, but my 60's were in the 1.79-1.82 range. I am gonna call Strange on Monday to see if they will warranty the strut. And, Brian from THR will have his work cut out for him getting the car dialed in. I also was gonna make some N2O passes and I was OUT OF FREAKIN' nitrous. Just my luck.

Sorry for the long post but it was very eventful and HUGE THANKS to Brian from Texas Hot Rods (once again) for the help and many phone calls.

One day you will break 11s on the motor. Maybe that same day you'll spray the motor and get into the 10s....just maybe

I wish I ran a 12.4[&:]

Sorry about the misfortunes at the track, but running 12.4 should have you feeling alittle better. I'm sure once the bucket is dialed in 11's will be no problem, and I'm guess low mid 10's with nitrous. Good luck
