Default Installing Clutch/Flywheel with LT Headers installed...

Alright... So my clutch is about to go out and the throwout bearing squeeks BAD... So I'm getting a new clutch put in and a flywheel too while im at it. Anyways I was wondering if the headers would be in the way of the bell housing. I didn't think of that until the dude asked me if I had LT headers... and I told him **** YEA! lol... But yea, If anyone has an answer to that please let me know... Thanx

If im not mistaken.... the longtubes will have to come off for you to put you clutch in.That is not going to be fun! It is probably going to cost a pretty penny to get all that done!

One thing I'd try first is taking the motor mount bolts out, the cross member and shifter and jacking the front of the engine up as far as possible. That may give you enough room to do it. If that don't work get an adjustable strut tower engine brace and hook it to the engine. Take the front wheels off and ratchet strap the springs down. Unbolt the shocks and take the K-member bolts out. Let the engine and tranny down about 6 in and remove the tranny. That's a lot eaisier than removing the headers but I was told it could be done just by taking the motor mount bolts out and jacking up the front of the engine. I've never done it myself so I don't know if it's true or not.

Does your throwout bearing squeek everytime you put the clutch in? I have a squeek when I push the pedal in but can figure out if it is the cable or the throwout bearing.......any body know?

Its just the beginning... first it just squeaks... then it begins to whine.... then it begins to rattle. Or at least that is how mine went!
