I do also remember hearing about a year ago, that Optima had some issues w/ the Redtops just not holding charges for very long..

2000GT4.6: Why not relocate the battery to the back?? I figure it won't hurt anything, and even free up some space...

The battery relocation seems like a major PITA. You would have to either mount it thru the carpet or remove the carpet perminatly, besides running all the cables etc.

I've been running them for many years and some i have had for 7+ years and others crap out after 2...but they have a great warranty. There is a small hold down bracket you can buy that makes the optima work with the stock tray...i think i saved the link somewhere so if i find it i'll post it for you.
