Tough Cam Choice...
I am getting some VT cams, but idk if I should go with Stage 1 or Stage 2. The Stage 2s make power higher in the RPMs, is it worth it to get them?I also want a set of 4.10s.

I just put Crower Stage 2s in my car and I love them. I know we dont have the short block to spin them high enough, but I got them anyways. I have 4.10s that arent in yet, and even with the stock gears its not that sluggish down low. I would get stage 2s...

get stage ones, the stage 2s power band is past what the stock shortblock can handle and the heads dont really flow enough for the 2s, also if you do the stage2s you NEED to change valve springs, its optional with the stage1s, i have stageones and couldnt be happier, they sound badass, but with either or you will need a tune

Yes stage 2 cams rev much higher than your stock engine but you will still benefit with 2's and have that awesome sound plus if you do any further mods you will be allset which is why I will be getting stage 2 blowerheads becausesome day I would like to supercharge my stang. You will need a valve springs and a tune as already mentioned.

I am also getting a JLT intake, u/d pulleys, and LTs when I put my motor back together, and the 4.10s are going in before summer. I have an SCT tuner which I am taking back up to Fred at Evolution Performance to retune for the cams. I am dropping my heads off to get reconditioned tomorrow and I amdebating wether or not to get them ported. If I go with Stage 2s I will have to buy the springs and have them put them in while they have the heads. Oh and down the road (when I am out of college and after a new paint job) I am supercharging it.
