Typically what most do and speaking from experience it is safer to use a floorjack when compressing the springs etc. Put jack stand under side your doing and don't have to worry about your hands while tightening a spring compressor and you jut undo the end sway bar links and can unbolt the 3 bolts underneath strut tower to just lower everything at once and then just pop spring in and out.The back is pretty easy just drop the lower axle bolt of control arm and take lower shock bolt out one side at a time as you do each...thats how I did mine......if you have the know how do it that way...

Im waiting on my springs to do this install so I havent done it personally but from what I have read, its alot easier to pry to springs out then use a spring compressor. But I dont know from experience.

but why do you have to remove the lower control arm,, you couldn't just compress it and remove the spring

sure with a spring compressor you could save that time but have you ever tried to use one of those things its a pain in the *** and you have to tighten from inside middle usually and control arm would be in the way...doing it the way I said will save you prolly 45 mins and some bloody knuckles

Those will work for the back but I just don't see those working easy in the front but its your choice and time...whatever you feel more comfortable with...

Don't use spring compressors. My buddy and I did the springs all around without even touching that thing. Just put some kind of jack under the control arm and once everything is disconnected, lower it slowly until the spring is fully extended. For the front, you need to pry it out because the a arm goes all the way down and still isn't far enough to just pull the spring out. The rear is easy, it just comes right out. I wish I had a tech article for you, but I don't. If you can find someone that even semi knows what they're doing, it will be easy.
