I have been trying to tell people MGW sucks since the day I installed mine. It will not "break-in" and will always shift like sh*t. You should have bought the Steeda Tri-Ax. Try shifting an 99+ Camaro SS six-speed transmission with stock Hurst shifter and you willrealize how bad the MGW is.
Owning both an MGW and a Tri-ax, the MGW is made MUCH better, is far less notchy, and you cant beat the 360deg adjustable handle.

But then again, what would i know.

Mine works great. It seemed a little stiff at first, but loosened up . I would`nt trade it.

Iput my shift stops in. I dont see how it would make is any smoother.

Comparing this short throw to others,I think there are better out there. Maybe it is just a mustang thing, butI doubt every aftermarket shifter is this choppy.

Well I guess it comes down to personal preffrence.... I've used, Hurst, Steeda, and B&M, and I must say that MGW works the best for me. In fact when I get my TKO (comes with a hurst shifter) i'm changing that out for an MGW.

I've had a pro5, driven a few times with a triax, and now have a MGW; the triax is by far the worst out of all of them in my opinion. Never used the hurst.

Yeah it is a personal preference, I'm not getting rid of it. I like the fact that you go stright into 3rd with no problems. I just figured it would be smoother, thats all.

Thats not the shifter... thats the transmission. I've driven lower hp imports, yeah they feel better but cant handle torque for ****.

The 3650 transmissions don't require the use of the shift stops. I didn't even put mine in.
