RE: auto to manual
I was wanting to do the same thing.... until i realized my transmission was superior . No replaceing synchros and clutches.... misshifts and grinding.... Shrow a shift kit and stall converter and some 4:10s and you will own any standard you run into.

you may be true about it outpreforming but ill never drive an auto again. i really jsut love the feel of shifting and having that control over my car.
so the feeling of driving a stick > benafits of shift kit for me
so the feeling of driving a stick > benafits of shift kit for me

And, a modified auto might "equal" a well driven manual, not surpass it
Edit: I agree with someone elses comment about: If your car can do the 1/4 in less than 11 seconds, only then can an auto start to take advantage over a well driven manual.
So for you "sub 11 second auto guys" stick the tranny in D & enjoy

RE: auto to manual
I'll answer your question, what your gonna need is a standard flywheel, the cluctch kit,a t-45 bell housing and a t-45 transmission, then you need the pedal assembly and the clutch cable, and then your gonna have to find a manual transmission computer.
