Default getting rid of the slps

hey guys...im starting to get tired of my LM1's. ya there loud and all but its starting to get annoying. especially on a 600 mile trip to school. I love the sound of flows and i regret picking the slps over the flows. i need you guys' help though. I want something thats not as obnoxious as the slps but somthing with more tone and a little quiter inside the car. I LOVE that hollow sound you hear on some flowmaster setups. Ok well my question is should i get the american thunder with the super 40s or get a kit off ebay that uses the original 40s? im just afraid that the originals will be too loud inside the car, but the super 40s wont be loud enough. anyone got any ideas?

Sorry for the long post.

Darren

I have the Org 40's on my stang and don't hear them at all inside, I thought My exhuast sounded like crap cuase I could bearly hear it inside the car. well I let my brother drive it and me stand outside and it's Deep hollow and nice but not so loud alot louder then stock but not loud enough. Sounds great but I just order an O/R H comes in tomorrow To make it louder deeper.

P.S Super 40's I think soud bad but that's just IMO

40 series is the way to go. Im assuming you have no midpipe? If not the 40s will be perfect. But put a midpipe with them and it really wakes them up

Super 40s is (what i was told by exhaust shop) is meant for the older muscle cars and certain trucks. 40s are recomended for our newerstangs.

you do know the mufflers on the SLP systems are interchangable, right? so you can get the LM2s which are quieter and deeper, or the powerflo which is even quieter and more deeper than the LM2s. this way you won't be spending $400 on a new catback. you can just spend $~200 on mufflers.
