Default Guys....recommend a clutch for me!

So many different ones out there. Here's a little info: 96GT with no mods, Don't run it hard (fastest I've ever gone in it is 85mph), Never go to the track. Pretty much I just like to cruise in it. I can hear a little clutch chatter when I get up on it gettin on an highway entrance ramp for example. It has 100k on it and I don't know if this is the original clutch or not. Also...I will have to get a new flywheel too, correct? What's the best for my type of driving that will hold up and I won't have to do this again?

Thanks,
Derrick

yeah your clutch should be going out if its still stock. if you are going to keep your car stock then just get another ford factory clutch. but if u got something big planned for it then i would recommend SPEC stage 1 or stage 2. stage 1 holds 400 torque and stage 2 holds 500 torque. as for the flywheel you could just get it resurfaced for cheaper than if u buy a new one.

Dont get a Centerforce!! I have had several friends blow theirs out in the first 6 months. Go with a one of the two listed above.

I just put in a King Cobra and I like it. Haven't had any problems with it (knock on wood) and it sticks alot better than OEM.

FWIW - With my clutch kit I didn't get a stupid *** clutch alignment tool (I'm not sure why) so keep that in mind because I couldn't find one anywhere for my car and had to end up getting a universal one which worked out.

My mcleod has been outstanding so far. Great clutch feel and only really engages/disengages in the first inch or so of travel.

Isnt a king cobra overkill? Isnt the pedal heavier? Just get a stock clutch.
