So i'm driving home last night when my friend in a v6 catches up to me and starts toying with me. So i floor it and as I hit 110, I notice the gear doesn't pop in (my car's automatic by the way) so it just starts to redline and I let off the gas instead. Since then, whenever i step on the gas when going 45+, I can feel the car kinda studdering. At low gears it's VERY noticible. If I'm at a complete stop, it gets very quiet. As i step on the gas, the car studders a lot. I don't know how to expalin in. Hopefully someone here knows what I'm talking about. Thanks in advanced!!

It sounds like your car detonated. I had a vortech on my car but my motor blew up from the guy at the dyno putting 16 degrees of timing in it. Before it blew though, it wouldnt go past 130mph, then 110mph, then 90mph. At that point my car had a miss and cyclinder #8 was dead. Four of my spark plugs were gone. Check yours before you get on it again.

Well, its redlining, in my 73 stang when the A/T Tranny went, it wouldnt shift into 3rd gear. it would stay redlining. Soo go to a tranny shop and have them look at it.

Does it idle ok? If it idles fine and can rev easily without stuttering while not in gear the its not the motor.

Your converter in your trans could have gone bye bye too.

check the coil packs, wires, plugs... if anything replace them... if that doesn't fix it, then take it to a tranny shop.

thats soo weird you have FI and max's out there thats lame. i've hit 140mph and could've gone more but wasn't near redline and im N/A . maybe your plugs/wires n stuff are bad?

If your car didn't come from the factory with Z-rated tires (check the sticker on the driver's side B post) it may have the speed limiter set to 110 MPH--you'll need a tune or handheld tuner to fix that...

Dont think thats his problem....he heard the popping sound at 110 and he let off the gas. From what I understand, thats when his problem started happening. Is your CEL coming on?

From what i get it sounds like a tranny peoblem yes? I would say your torque converter is takin a poop... or mabey your tranny is going... have you checked the fluid lately?
