it's going to cost you $500 for a NITROUS kit, 3 grand for a supercharger kit, or like 10 grand in boltons. take your pick.

Slow down man, doesn't need to happen right now. I can gaurantee you this and this alone, if you try to complete your project too fast you'll be poor by the end of the month, and when you're done you'll want something different. Spread your build out over a year or two. You'll be surprised how much you'll come across at a good price. Hell, you can even get some stuff for free. Make friends, join a club, go to a few shows. Immerse yourself in the light, that is the Mustang lol.

Besides, I can gaurantee, you may think you just want a Cobra clone right now, but take it from me, you'll change your mind about 17,000 times. Besides, why stop at Cobra? Set the bar higher than that. That's almost like building a GT clone...well almost.

Do the research, give yourself options.

.....that must be why Kenne Bell and Whipple are going out of business.

Sounds like your buddydoesn't plan to keep his engine for very long; Mach1 internals are the same as the GT. No intercooler? The A/F ratio and timing required to make that much power on that setupleaves very little margin. Maybe he'll only drive WOT on cool days at sea-level? Maybe he'll only run 200 octane fuel? Maybe he'll be detonated by next week?

Good luck though.

The reason the mach made so much more was the compression. higher compression + supercharger is great so long as you don't get detonation.

The stock eaton is junk. On a poor ole 2v with the much weaker flowing H/C/I setup your going to see VERY lackluster results. The stock eaton produces alot of heat, is ineffiecent, and simply won't work on a 2v anyway.

What blows my mind is that he thinks he has a 03 cobra so long as he has a 03 cobra blower... that just doesnt make since. Even IF he had the 4v heads on there its still not a 03/04 cobra.. but at least it would look like it under the hood. There is no mistaking a 2v with a eaton for a 4v....
