he'd be losing more than 100RWHP. mach 1s dyno at what? 260-270RWHP? if you're all about the all show no go, then definitely get the mach. the mach is a nice trade-up if you're going from a nearly stock GT to a mach, not a blown GT to mach. personally, i don't care what my car looks like on the outside. i impress the right people with what's under the hood.

Screw what they say, buy the mach 1.

Actually, mines for sale

Honestly machs are badass cars, take your s/c off and sell your car. Then sell your s/c and buy one for the mach. O and mach 1sare not "hard to supercharge"

yo dont diss the mach. u port them heads on the mach and add some decent cams and boom a 325-340 whp car. than blow that. u will c some huge gains, more than with ur gt. the mach's dyno around 280 wheel and are great motors the 4v's respond to everythin better than the 2v's. i would say tget the mach. but jmo

If you had a bolt-on or even stock GT I'd say go with the mach, but it seems like you won't be too impressed with the numbers the mach will be putting down. However, the mach is much sexier.

You can buy new seats for your car, aftermarket leather racing seats are 1000million times better than oem pleather.
InDEED. Go check these guys out

They do awesome work.

You could paint your car and get new seats cheaper than buying a Mach 1.
Again, solid advice. Paint your car something a little different, but not tacky. Enough for people to say, "Dang, that's not stock" but not be gaudy, you know? $3-4K - naki nailed it within a grand. That would get you a better-than-decent skin.
CallArizen and have them send you a leather swath. It will have all their colors of leather and suede on it. They sent me one when I was pondering a similar change. Unbelievable color selection.
Look at the swath and find a color you would like for the exterior. Then take it to a reputable body shop and say, "Match it."
Have Arizen custom create you an interior with either a black, tan or grey outer, depending on what the color of the trim of your interior is. Then have them make the center inserts out of the suede patch you chose that will match the outside of your car. They quoted me a shade over$1,200 for a full set - new front buckets, cover to match for the rear.
You do that and you'll have less than $5K in it from here, still have a groundpounding390 RWHP, have a one-off custom Stang that will DEFINITELY not feel or in any way look old and tired and you'll be the envy of all your friends! And everyone on this board, including me who is going to pick up a black on black Mach 1 in Lenexa, Kansas tomorrow.

What color is your car and it's interior trim?
