Do i suck at driving? Or is my car slow?
Well i already know my car is slow but.... I ran at the track for my first time ever and i ran a 14.6. I couldnt get any better than that after 5 runs... Is this all taht can be expected from my car or do i just need to get better at driving? I have the mods in sig and its an auto...
I ran against my freind (2001 camaro SS) and its sad that each of us with the same mods are so far apart.. I hit 14.6 and he hit 12.89

Is your car an auto or a 5 speed? Those wheels have got to be heavy as hell...and your mods don't give you much in the way of hp.
You are probably only a few tenths slower than you should be. Post up your slip though.

Well your mods are nothing that add any power, and the 18's might actually hurt you (heavier wheels take more power to turn). Your times are really not that bad considering it was your first time at the track. Post up you 60 foots and we can give you a better idea. Stock 2V 4.6's are a low 14 car bone stock.

Lol my very first run ever was actually my best... I would post the actual slip but its the carbon and its really faded like.. But here are the numbers

Im not a hardcore tracker... but what could i do to improve? Mods wise.. And how do you autos launch?

Mod-wise is easy..4.10's without a doubt. My installer actually says that if I put 4.10's, longtubes, and a custom tune from him in my car, I could drop a full second in the quarter.
As for launching...I dunno...I haven't been to the track yet myself. I've heard a mix though...some keep their foot on the gas and stall it up, some just floor it off the line like normal.

I let it shift itself. I think my biggest problem is my launch. My buddy in the maro said that when i made that time he saw me spinning so bad that i smoked.... Could some of that be that i have brand new tires and they arent broken in?
