Default To track for the first time.. some questions

I am building my car up right now for the racing season that starts next month. I have a 4.6 auto convertible. Here are the mods i have made so far. I am just wondering will i need to add a roll cage yet or do i need to do more to get under 12.9. I have been racing other cars for years so I know how to race just not sure about this car

MAC prochamber with cat back system
tuner
K&N air intake
slotted/drilled rotors
drag tires
underdrive pulley
a/c delete kit

I will be changing my gears also which is the best set up for these cars.

what else could i do without dropping a lot of money to increase some horsepower, i see some people in here talk about putting NOS on stock engine. Is this really wise.

Not sure if you'll hit 12.9 with that set up, What year is your car? I know it can be done with little mods, but the 96-98 heads suck. I would cage it anyway, it's a convertable. Just to be safe. Get the gears, and better suspension for traction. NOS would work, do you daily drive the car, or will it be a track only car? If track only, spray the S*** out of it hehe. You can always fix it later, if you plan to drive it around town, I'd hold off.

its a 2001.. yeah i guess the safety issue SHOULD be a concern ;-) .. I will be driving the car for now. If the race idea goes well I will be turning it into a race only car but for now I will be driving it around town.

You'll be in the mid to high 13s more then likely. If you got MT Drags you'll have to be careful of your rear end not snapping.

do you mean snapping as in breaking or snapping as in going sideways. If you mean breaking is there a way to make it more stable

He means breaking. You could do suspention work to get better times at the track.
