I havea chance to buy an 03 cobra4.6 with computer and harness. I have a 2000 gt auto. Will the 2003cobra 4.6 bolt tomy automatic? what will I need to change besides the fuel pump?I only have a few days to get this engine so any knowledge your willing to share would be great!Thank you in advance.

The 03+ cars didn't come with automatics, you need to do some research and try to find out if there is any way you can use your stock auto tranny computer on the 03 assembly.;

I am about 99.99 percent sure the wiring harness is different, and the sensors are in different postions. You can put it in there, and you should be able to bolt it up, but getting the computer to work could be harder.

The bellhousing should be the same, but I don't think anyone on here has done it before so you have no guarnetees. The biggest problem though is probably going to be the computer.

he says computer and harness comes with the motor.I'm new to this and not a mechanic.I didn't know 03 cobras were all standard transmissions.Thank you for your reply..

honestly, grab the tranny if you can as well, quite the expense though, but t-56's are great 6spds. You can definitely mate a 4.6 DOHC cobra motor to an auto, theres quite a few people around that have done it, probably not on this forum though. Search google, 4.6 manual to auto or t56 to aode, or manipulate the search strings a little.

I am seriously considering just putting in the 6spd from a cobra into my auto gt, but the transmission packages for the t-56 cost areound 2800$. I live to find a good deal on a cobra engine/harness/trans, that would be sex.

No tranny for sale and I bought the autocoz of heavy traffic (Toronto)stop & go, alot more stop than go!Now I"m 50/50, one no one yes.lol.Thank you.I now have less than 12 hours to buy it.
