Has any one ever had any probs with there flowmasters. I have the thunder series cat back on my 00 gt, And since yesterday it has been making this really weird sound like something inside the muffler is broken, there is no back pressure when i downshift now, and when i rev it up it sounds normal for a second and then starts to crackle and sometimes it pops. Any ideas. Also i have checked every bolt on my x pipe to be sure there were no leaks also.

If its popping when you're revving it up, i want to say that its probably not your exhaust.

Have you had the system on the car for a while, or have you changed something recently? Also im not really understanding what your saying about backpressure when you downshift, backpressure is something that you cant change. Its determined by restrictions in the pipes, pipe diameter, etc it has nothing to do with shifting.

Flowmaster.. although it sounds decent.. is bottom of the line exhaust as far as quality and such. Mine just started making that same noise the other day... it just happens with flows i guess.

And ya the backpressure is prolly all in your head.
