I have a 98 Mustang GT and I want to swap the 4.6l EFI out with a boosted 5.0 with a blow through carb. I also want to change my 5 speed out for an automatic, one that will handle some power.

The Reason I wanted to go to a carb was that I thought it would be easier (and cheaper). Wouldn't have to worry about differences in the EFI, or any tuning issues associated with that.

I am trying to get as many ideas as possible, I am in Iraq now, so I want to start my project in about 9 months. Thanks for the advice.

motor-wise it sounds like you just want to bolt-on a race motor... your bodystyle did have the 5.0 in 95, so I don't see any issues in fitment... for the tranny I'd say go with a 4r70w auto tranny outta an 04+ GT
