Will i need to get that gear thing where it makes your speed odometer right? or is that not required..
You don't have to anything, but it's recommended. If you don't get your speedometer recalibrated, you will be falsely putting extra miles on your car.

There's two ways to do this. Either with a $80 speed cal kit or with a $400 tuner.

i believe i paid around 200 for my install. But i am not positive on that price.
