Did you just use your stock shift boot over this new shifter??? OR does it come with 1?

Its ridiculous when you compare the stock shifter which is basically just stamped steel with a handle to the machined aluminum MGW shifter, no comparison. The first time you drive the car you will be in a state of aaawww. The shifter has a MUCH more solid feel when its in or out of gear. The stock shifter feels so sloppy when its in gear and you can move it a little bit where as the MGW doesn't move at all. When I go from 2nd to 3rd I don't even have to think about moving the shifter over. The centering spring is so stiff all I have to do is push up it goes right into 3rd, 3rd to 4th is even better. MGW actually has some really nice shifter ***** to, matches the charcoal or black interior with silver trim perfectly.

That basically sums it all up there. I didn't realize how sloppy the stock shifter was until Iused the MGW today. Quality shifter, good results. Oh, and you can use the stock shift boot... it just slips right back over it. I used one of MRT's shift ***** to change out the stock shift ****... its the all black **** with the silver cobra in the center.
