What Brand Rods for S/C 2V????

What brand is the best bang for the buck on rods for a S/C 2v producing about 500hp?? What metal typeand is I-rod sufficicient for the hp?? Don't want to pay for a name if that is all it is.

depends on the rating - i can be very strong, but im going H. your basic forged h will be good for that power level, however if your going to do it - you might as well do it right and get the good stuff.

A forged H should be fine for 500hp. But if you want a nice rod try to get stock cobras

Good forged h-rods are usually good for 1000+ hp. Seems like a lot of I-rods are good for 650+.

Arent the stock cobras manely? i think so, why not just buy manely, the manely inhouse spec will be stronger and if you buy new, cheaper.

Yeah I think they are manley, but I sen a used set out of an 03 cobra go for $200 used on ebay!

I think Cobras are Manley? Probably cheaper to buy them out of a wreck than from Manley then.

yea i just dont trust used unless I pulled them or saw them in person. i think new svt rods like 350 a pop or something stupid

Yeah they are all smoothes out for less oil restriction and are weight balanced within .002 of each other or something like that! They also have better oil galleries than most tolube the bearings!
