I don't know about you rolling fenders but I've done about 20 cars over the years and the baseball bat method is the hardest and the worse way to do it. Best way if doing something like this (outside of the profecional tool) would be to put tape over the fender lip (outside) use a peice of 2x4 and hold it against the tape and strike the inside lip with a rubber mallot or a dead blow. Small hits starting from the center working evenly down to point on either side that doesn't rub anymore. My way wont even hurt the paint if it's done correctly and the paints good.
