you can, but i wouldn't do hard 5k launches or something like that. which would kind of defeat the purpose of getting slicks in the first place.

Does that mean...Taching it to 5000rpm's and then letting go of the break/clutch?

It MIGHT handle it once or twice depending on several other things like what kind of gears you have, how have you beat on it, so forth. Just be sure to bring a tow vehicle to the track when you do these 5k launches and don't worry about it.

Hahahahahaha. Or alternately try not to beat it up too much, just go with a new rear end. Pricey... but worth it in the long run. You'll probably want to push even more power in the future anyways. With your stock setup, it's only a matter of time before you blow somthing up.

RE: Axles
i wouldnt do that cuz if you're lucky enough to get 2 launches in w/o breaking something the 3rd launch def. will...imagine if you snapped your axle or broke a spider gear...locked it up..and broke your drive shaft or even transmission...not worth it to even try untill you get a built rear and drive line...IMO....the track is much stickier than the street anyhow
