I have a bone stock 97 GT. I know that i shoudl upgrade to the PI system. But i wanted to know if it would be better to have the old heads ported or buy the new PI heads then get them ported. I don't understand teh whole porting thing thats why im asking. Also i wanted to know what u guys think bout the P-51 intake. I wanted to start out with a good base for the horsepower, pullys, headers, stage 1 cams, cold air intake, and exhaust will come after but i figured i'd get the most expensive stuff out of the way first

This question has been posted before... dont p & p save ur money, go for the PI Heads then F/I youll get more bang for your buck in my opinion. As for "getting the expensive stuff out of the way first" if you are serious in turning your mustang into what a mustang should be, you need to do exhaust, intake and gears before you do the "expensive stuff". However, id gofor the PI heads first thing, but i wouldnt bother getting them ported or polished. Just my opinion
