Default Long Term Decision

Hey Guys. Right now I am paying for my car and it will be paid off in August of 2010. Right now, I have an extra $120-200 a month going into a bank account that I never actually see. By the time I pay my car off, I will have about $8000-9000 in that account.

I am trying to look ahead for the long term now. Should I put this money into my 2V GT with 13k miles on it or should I wait until I pay this off and use that money as a good down payment for a new Mustang in 2010?

I will either be keeping this car and buying that car or selling this car with about 40-50k miles on it after I pay it off and using that as a down payment. Which should I do?

wow man thats really low miles for a 2000, mine has nearly 80k and its a 2k as well. I am actually in the same boat as you, mine will be paid off by this time of year in 2010 too. Well maybe sooner depending on how much I work in the summers from now till then. But yea I ponder the same type of question, and IMO especially considering how great your mileage is I would def go for supercharging your car now after its paid off. You could get away with a really nice setup for about half of what your saying you will have saved and you will have a sweet ride, much better then what our cars are now, and also you wont have a car payment anymore, YES!. plus you could take the insurance down a bit and be paying just a bit each month for potentially a 425whp beast.........again just my opinion

save your money do some small mods and stuff to it and then use the money you saved and the state of your car as a down payment on a new GT or Cobra whatever you decide..
