is your car a 5spd?? if so, and you're going to spend ~$200.. I would def get an MGW shifter before a cai/rai.. you will notice that everytime you drive your car..
yup
Then get the MGW... it will be a much better feel than a cai/rai..

If I was you I would go ahead and stop being resistant and let MGW come in there and take your virginity. You would receive a lot more pleasure from that short shifter than you would from a intake

Are you going for looks or power to the wheels?

IF looks, get a cold air.

If for simply power, just remove the air silencer and drop in a K&N filter. See this link for how to.

https://mustangforums.com/m_1135032/tm.htm

Don't spend $200+ for cold air. Take that money and put towards gears. Gears help you get the most out of what you have. You'll feel the difference the gears make way before you feel the difference that CAI makes.

K&N FIPK Gen 2 is a good CAI. Fits perfect, plastic doesn't generate more heat like metal, looks decent, priced fair, if you have to California smog it comes with a C.A.R.B. E.O. sticker (pretty much why I got one)

I thought it looked decent as well, at least from the pictures I have seen.
How does the shield fit?
Any clearence problems?

I'm not interested in a CAI without the shield, nor do I want a one with the air filter in the fender because I live on the coast and we get lot's of rain here with lots of puddles [8D]

Where did you purchase yours?

tia!

I went with BBK and like it if the air is cooler outside but if it's hot out a plastic CAI will give you more gains and yes you will feel the difference.

they are all about the same. they are all going to improve your air-intake

get the short throw then, intakes dont give you the power they say. i wouldnt expect more that 5 hp from one.
with no exhaust upgrades, I doubt even that much power gain. Little better throttle response, maybe a little better gas mileage, but don't count on anything significant. It's not a life life changing even unless you put it on yourself and then it makes you passionately in love with your ride.

I have JLT by the way....looks is hawtsauce, but that's because it's next to chromy accufab tb/plenum....also hawt.
