Default Header and X pipe question.

hey. i just installed a Pypes o/r x on my stang. i have the stock headers on now. i was wondering if i changed out the headers, would i need to get a whole new mid-pipe? or will it work w/ long tubes or something? please help!!

no it will only work with shorty headers or stock manifolds. you will have to buy a new midpipe if you get long-tube headers.

ok, so i need shorty headers? does it matter which kind i get, or will it all bolt up to the pypes x?

also, is there a difference in HP gains between shorty and longtubes? or is it just sound?

They should all bolt up that is the point of shorties... No need to change out the X. I have a pair of pretty rusted shorties from ford if you were interested at all. You prolly wouldn't want them tho!

You will get a lot more gains from LTs as compared to shorties. Do a search you will find a lot of info. Also the install on LTs is a lot harder and more complicated.
