Default New edge gt vs. cobra

you guys think theres any way 4 a new edge GT to run with a stock 99 cobra w/o getting into any head or cam work? I figure you should be able to get these cars to a little over 300hp at the crank with full bolt ons? Couple that with some 3.73s and shouldn't that be enough to run with a 99 cobra with 320 hp off the line? Remembering to count in the cobra's 3.23's, added weight, and IRS as three key factors.

I would say with full exhaust, gears(4.10s), and some stickies you could prolly take an unmodded 99 cobra.

Throw a 100 shot in there with full exhaust, gears, cai, tune and you should compete with them all you want.

You shouldnt need a 100 shot to compete with a stock 99 cobra. If you want to own him, then it would be a good idea!

yeah i kno, not bashing on it in any way it's very handy when you go to the strip. And well would full bolt ons and gears I believe even a 75 shot should be enough to down one pretty bad. I dunno I may look into getting a system one day just for the fun of pushing the button

A otherwise stock GT with a 75 shot would KILL a bolt on GT

After driving my dad's 99 Cobra which only has a K&N CAI and catless H-Pipe I wouldn't doubt that with only some intake and exhaust goodies, 3.73's or 3.90'swith a good tune a GT will be able to hang in there with a stock/stockish 99Cobra no problem. OTOH an 03 or 04 Cobra will blow your doors off, Ijust can't keep up with my brother-in-law's bone stock 04 Cobra.
