Default how bad can this get

I just checked the engine in my car, 97 gt, and i found a big coolant leak around the injector on cylinder #1. It has a little pool of coolant around it, and I was wondering if it can get into the intake from there, or mess around with the fuel thats getting shot in.

I just had the exact same problem although I don't know which cylinder.I ended up having a hairline crack in the manifold and had to replace it.

But I also have this nasty vibration when the car is in Park, Reverse, and Drive. Could the leak problem be causing this?

leaking is caused by fords moronic PLASTIC intake manifold. the vibrations your feeling is probably from 150,000 miles of wear and tear... if your 5spd your clutch is prob worn out... if your automatic could be many things.. idk cant really tell you without looking at it

Yeah I'm an auto. If that was actually causing the vibration i would spend the money on a new intake, but I dont want to throw cash at it and not fix it. I'm not even sure if I still even want to keep it and I'm sure I wont get that much from it if its vibrating this bad...I'm so screwed.

Also I have Autolite Platinum spark plugs and the gap is really close could better plugs help, or should I try gapping them bigger?

this is what "I" would do.
1st - buy a new intake manifold.

2nd - Full Tune up.
All fluids changed (oil, coolant, tranny, etc)
All filter changed ( oil, air, and fuel )
Plugs and Wires ( "I" personally run ngk-tr55 plugs they work great)
Finally i would run seafoam through the engine.

I think I'm going to shell out some money for an intake, and as far as the tune up goes...I have changed all that except for the fuel filter and the diff. fluid. And I also ran some seafoam through it this afternoon.

Nokturnal97, I just checked the plugs 2 days ago and they all look fine, but i think I might switch to Motocraft plugs.

Thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it. I'll keep you guys posted.
