Mach 1 Hood Installed!
Ok here we go. I made a custom bracket for my car, giving me 2 advantages 1) price. Ive got 450 bucks in this setup including the hood. 2) weight, the bracket is aluminum and I disassembled the shaker to only use the top scoop. In the bracket alone I have saved 400 dollars easily, by not buying the karkraft bracket, and by not buying the mach 1 scoop spacer. Now for you n/a guys you might be better off with the kar kraft setup bs it would be functional. However with my upcoming FI the ram air is unless to me, it also is going to make the piping easier. The bracket itself is rock solid, I reinforced the hood with aluminum bars- the hood as been tested over 100mph+. Im stilling to cut the end off two of the supports to make it look a little cleaner, but for 40 bucks at lowes, im very happy. And now the proof...
Before:
After:
the hood is still primered.. id be really pissed to scratch fresh paint so... ohh well its ok for now - at least I dont have to grab the tape and cardboard when it rains anymore, this was really very easy to do.

RE: Mach 1 Hood Installed!
pretty much he has a mach1 hood with the functional scoop, only his is not functional, he has the scoop attached to the hood with aluminum bars to keep the scoop look but not hafta worry about water and crap getting into the engine. looks great man
