Default An Age old debate.............

I am debating wether or not to replace my MAC CAI, i have a friend who will give me $100 bucks for it. I have herd great things about the C&L, K&N and JLT. My current CAI is the Mac Straight shot, i have herd that the in fender type will yield better gains and the plastic tube of the JLT and K&N wont soak up heat like my MAC does. What do you guys think?

Honestly, the only huge gains you would see are in the manufacturers bank account. Keep the MAC. Unless you are going with a SC, I would leave your intake alone. Thats just me though...

If you like paying $100 per 1 rwhp then take your pic. They are all crap, stick with stock, remove the silencer and slap in a k&n filter. You will get the same gains out of that as you would any CAI.

Well in that case grab a jlt. I'd sell you mine but I'm not ordering my novi for a few more weeks. If you wanna wait, i'll sell it to you for 100 bucks plus shipping. It's silver and was only on my car for about 2k miles....and sitting on the car all winter.

Settle down fella! You didn't mention that you have a KB. Look at my sig... so do I. Since you DO have F/I, I would suggest a JLT or a TI. Both are similar in quality and function. Since you have a KB, a larger MAF would help with any CAI.

Go with the Demolet/Tunable Induction...you can order the one for Roots/Twin screw blowers and get the 90mm flange option for the LMAF.

www.demolet.com

Heres mine with my Eaton

and heres one with a KB

If I were you I'd do it. You're getting a fair deal on your intake now. And since you do have FI, that's even more reasonto getthe JLT. Itwill definitely give you more power than any other intake you put on.
