i read about it alot on here. does that actually help anything? i am thinking of just doing this instead of getting a CAI and just doing other mods. i was just going to get a k&n filter and removing the silencer. what you guys think?

The CAI doesn't do anything. I remember MM&FF did a dyno and they gained a peak of like 5 hp by removing it. I would take it off, throw a K&N on it and save the rest of the money on something real.

i have the BBK cai, and I dont like it.I was thinking about buying the K&N kit that doesn't put the filter in the fenderwell, are they any good?

Honestly other than the actual placement of the pipes a CAI is a CAI. They'll all do the same thing.

I have a K&N FIPK Gen. II and i love it. i noticed icreased throttle response imediatly after i installed it. i highly recomend it. u can also hear ur car "breath" to which is really cool to hear.

yeah MM&FF got somewhere between 3 and 4 rwhp just by removing the air silencer(Stock paper filter). So drop a k&n in it and save your money. CAI are for show and not worth the money IMO. They do look nice and clean up the engine compartment, but for the most part its all for looks. Save Your money. You can immediately tell a difference in the noist when you remove the Air Silencer, it creates a sucking sound.

He's right, I did the same thing. Just get the filter only, take that big donkey d|ck off and save your money for something useful

Ebay sells CAI's for 40-50 dollars. Its really all the same type of CAI I think
