air compression into cylinder...
how do i add air to the cylinder to compress it so i can take the valve springs off? i have a compressor... like what fitting should i use?

Ha ha. Good luck. Here's a quick trick I used when assembling my heads: Use a bit of tranny lube on the locks on top of the valves. When you put them in place on the valve, they'll stay there and not drop down when you go to put the other half on. It saves so much time.

What I did is use a deep 18mm socket, 6" extension and hammer them. The locks will pop off. Do this without the valve spring compressed. And you have to hit them kind of hard. Don't worry, nothing will break.

That has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. You never pound on your engine with a hammer. Are you using overhead cam valve spring compressor? Dont use the otc 7928 because you could bend your valves. Just use the one that you put on the spring and turn the top to compress it. Use a magnet to get the locks out. LOL hammer on your valves[sm=laughat.gif][sm=badidea.gif]
