How Often Do You Change Your Oil?
#31
RE: How Often Do You Change Your Oil?
I use AMSOIL - Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil (TSO)
SERVICE LIFE
AMSOIL Series 2000 Synthetic 0W-30 Motor Oil is recommended for extended drain intervals in unmodified(1), mechanically sound(2) gasoline fueled vehicles as follows: Normal Service(3) – Up to 35,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.
I may decide this summer to change at around 7500 miles or so, but undecided as of now. This company I believe was one of the first to come out with full synthetic. Check out the following website if you're interested:http://lubedealer.com/crbsales/home.aspx
I also use AMSOIL ATF in my GT's manual tranny, filling about .75" below the fill hole - which has helped with the reported 1st - 2nd gear grind many are familiar with in the TR-3650.
Everyone has there own perspective on oil change interval and product. I'm putting my trust in a company that has tests and info to backup their products and has been in business forever. If my engine seizes up before my one-year oil change interval, I'll let you know. Good luck with whatever way you decide.
