What's wrong with my car? HELP!!!

RE: What's wrong with my car? HELP!!!
It's actually not a tough install. Like I said, try to get it done as a side-job to save on some coin.
It's really up to you. If you don't feel like experiencing the uncertainty of building up an engine, you could just have it fixed as you had originally planned. A lot of people on here would take this as a chance to build... and a lot wouldn't.

Only having $5,000 won't get you much of anything good for performance, to be completely honest w/ you.. Since your engine is toast, then just get a good, NEW stock replacement, and have a shop install it.. Not to down play your abilities, but since you weren't even knowledgeable about Hydrolocking the engine, thenI have a tough time believing you could do an engine swap w/o having the car down for a considerable amount of time, and even risk destroying it after it's back together.. On top of that, even buying a used performance engine is like buying a car that you've never driven or seen, it's just a bad idea...
