Lastnight it rained ALOT and the streets were flooded. Well as i attempted to drive home my car just died in a really deep part. I tried to start it up again and it didn't do anything. Me and a couple other guys eventually pushed it out of the water and into a parking lot where it still sits right now. I went this morning to check it again and still nothing. Doesn't even try to start or anything. When i try to start it, it sounds almost like it does when the battery is dead. What could be wrong? Why does it not even try to start?

oh yeah i've got the CAI that goes all the way down to the bottom of the fender. maybe i sucked up some water? Really need ur help here guys. thanks

It could be that your starter is water logged and shorting out.
Something else electircal is water logged and shorting.

Dry it out and check your fuses.
Does it try to start?
Does the engine spin/move at all?

It could also be.............

I hope this is not the case, but, seeing as you have the fender intake it sounds like your motor **might** be hydrolocked.
It's very rare for this to happen, but it does.

Do a google on *hydrolocked*

The problem is water not only does not ignite very well but it compresses even less *well*.

Get it towed and remove all the plugs and replace, air filter and drain the oil and replace that filter as well.
While you have the plugs out, put a breaker bar on the crank and see if you can nudge it a little.
Don't go crazy, just a little and in the right direction!
If it moves, put everything together and pray.

It's either going to run, or it's new motor time.
And even if it runs, keep and eyeball on it for a while for any signs of damage.

i had a feeling it might be hydrolocked. The engine doesn't spin/move at all.

Try doing what I said in the other post (plugs, oil etc) and see if you can free it up.
You might get lucky!

yeah i'll try that. I hope it works. I'm at work right now but i get off at 3. should i go and try to start it again when i get out or will it mess it up worse?

Get a deep well 18mm socket and a breaker bar. Put it in neutral and put the socket on the crank pully bolt. Try to turn the engine clockwise. If it turns the do as said above if not then start looking for a new engine. Either way it is time for a rebuild.

sounds like you hydrolocked it. I am so glad I got rid of my fenderwell style CAI. Well go ahead and grab you a forged block while your at it

sounds like it is hydrolocked. happened to my friendwhilewe were 4 wheeling in his jeep.

take out the spark plugs
crank over

that will make it drivable but to prevent serious damage you must:
change your oil AND PUT 1 QUART OF WD 40 IN IT
the wd 40 will get rid pf any left over water in the oil
then let it run a little 15-20 min max
change oil again
