Like I said, it's a little over 1K to get it fixed. So, if not under warranty, that's wht it will cost. I was told they basically replace the entire guts with new beefed up parts. I should get mine back tomorrow to let you guys know of the improvement.

yeah id love to hear what the improvments are like, since this is something that i have to do anyhow (replace trans)

UPDATE: I called a local dealership (not the one I regularly use) but they said that the TSB is in effect and if you are experiencing any of the problems to bring it in and they will certaintly take care of it.

I told the gentleman I had longtube headers and asked if that would be a problem and he started to say that it would probably void the warranty, so I told him that the dealership I usually use said that the LT headers wouldnt be a problem and it wouldnt void my warranty. After I told him that he said will bring it on in here and we will take care of it for you. So I think im gonna have it done.

YEAH JD, way to scam the warranty company.. If you get it back and think its still harsh, it will be just give the tranny time to break in.

I'm having this problem too but my warranty ran out. (38,000 miles). Guess there is nothing I can do about it?

You dont have to have a warranty. If its a factory screw up they have to fix it.

My question now would be how do I obtain a copy of this TSB? I have to take it with me to have the work done.

did you mention the tsb, or did you tell them you were having tranny problems and THEY mentioned the TSB?

PS: Do i need to get this done at the stealership i purchased my car, or any placE?

Any Ford dealership will honor a TSB as long as you are experiencing problems related.

Yeah, I told them the number and the guy says "Yes" like he knew exactly what I was talking about.
