If it's hissing, then you probably have a vacuum leak somewhere. Not exhaust. If the EGR system is disabled your CEL would definitely go on. You'd know an exhaust leak when you heard it. Would sound like a machine gun when you floor it.
Check all your vacuum hoses on top of the engine and then check your O2 sensors. I didn't know they have LT's with O2 bungs on them.

sounds like you got high flow cats and the computer isnt happy! i guess there are 02 SIMs that you can get. i used to get p0420 and 0430 on my truck after my longtube and hi flow cat install.......i used some spark plug nonfoulers to raise the rear 02s up off the pipes and all is well!

from what i'm told, it seems that this is the left 02 sensor before the cats. Would this stillbe the answer in that case? And would there be any adverse results from doing this ?

lol who you telling...When i first put my tranny back in I was being lazy and did tighten up the exhaust bolts as tight as I should and man I never heard a mustang sound that bad! lol It sounded sooo bad and the car had noooo power. sounded like the fatest dude in the world was taking a dump and in a toilet that made everything echo

From what you guys are saying, a leak would sound really loud? I have a slight noise that I was thinking could be an exhaust leak, but its not loud at all. I only notice when I'm trying to baby the car...for example, If im going about 45 and shift into 5th and keep accelerating to 60...between 45-55 i can hear it, but then it stops around 60+.... It's been bothering me[:'(]
