I bought a new center console for my stang because the bast**d whohad the car before mescrewedthe old oneall up. so my questionis,how the **** do you get around the e-brake to get the center console back in?? I ended up breaking the old one out after it sliced in to my dash. HELP PLEASE!!!!.

it takes some twisting, put it in perpendicular to the way it's supposed to be (either end facing the doors), it helps to have the end with the shifter holeface the passenger side as you don't have the steering wheel on that side, as you twist it around the e-brake (counter clock-wise) it should start kind of look like its fitting in, just be patient.

And if you get completely pissed at the ebrake, jack your rear end up, pull the ebrake cables off the rear calipers and you should be able to pull the ebrake vertical making it really easy

yea its really hard but i've done it, just pull the ebrake as high as u can

yeh dude it is hard wait till you have to change the back caliper and you have to take the e brake cable off from there. i would say slide the back end( end that faces the back seat) in first. we also made a slice into my friends dash but the heat smoothed it out. you will have to twist the front part back in should be pretty basic but his was a 2000. Found out Ford did alot of stuff different on 1999 and 2000 mustangs not nessecerily the casewiththe console tho.
