Oh ya, dont get that one for sure, its been romped, I 100% garantee it. Get one with no mods at all, you will be a lot happier in the long run because it wasnt raced against everything that rolled up next to it.

I agree with 2000GT about the mods. Just because a car has some mods does not turn me off to it. The only thing I dont like is when the engine is cracked into at home. If it has Heads/Cams/whatever on it, I would want reciepts from a shop installation to make sure it was done right. But bolt-ons, as long as the car looks like it was taken care of, I consider to be one less mod I have to add onto it down the road .

So, now that I have properly hijacked the thread with the first part of my post, ill now comment on the Cobra. No WAY is that cobra worth that. For 10 grand, your looking at a 99/ orhigh mileage 01. Take your time, look around. for a 96-98, I wouldnt pay anything more than 8000, and thats for below 80k miles. nearing 100, I would pay 6800-7000.

since youre paying in cash, the dealer will be getting his commission quickly. so sit down and say "im going to write you a check for the full amount, if you give it to me for $,$$$" id say give him 7000 for it

I know a lot of advise not to buy a modded car, but how much do the mods affect the price of the car?

None at all..
Just cause theres some mods its not worth anymore at a dealership.

Unless its factory add ons and or your buying it privately.

Im so sick of dealers. I've been eyeing certain 06's and they have all the so called conveinence packages and crap that shouldnt cost extra then the cars have 5,000 or so miles on them and they still want like 24 to 26,000 for the cars..

Loaded stangs used to cost about 24 k or so 0 miles not they are this mid life crisis car for these old yuppies and they cost an arm and a leg.. pisses me off so bad.. But why spend 30,000 on a brand new GT when you can spend 10k more and get a shelby

The mods don't bother me but just looking that car was not taken care of keep looking you will find something a whole lot nicer for the money you have now.
