Default Best street tires?

Im considering getting new tires since our monsoon season is only a couple months out. Right now i have slicks and need something that can get good traction in wet and dry weather. Any suggestions/experiences with performance tires on wet roadways.

While you're on tirerack.com, check out Sumitomo tires. They are about the same as the OEM tires, but loads cheaper. I have them and so far they are fine (about 10K thus far).

Michelin Pilots, Pirelli P-zero, Dunlop sp8000, BFG KDW. Michelin Pilots are good, but theyre very expensive. Pzero's are good. The Dunlops are excelltent, but technically discontinued, BFG KDW's are also an excellent tire. Not as good as the other 3 but definitly good.

PS: General tires = poop. Great for mom and pop but not for anyone who drives aggressively.

I have BFG KDW and they are a good tire. I wish they would hook a little better at the track, but other than that no complaints. I reccommend those.

price isnt too much of an issue as long as it doesnt exceed 300 per tire. im just looking for something to replace the slicks during the rainy season, but also something to hook when its not raining. are continentals any good?

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 $197ea or $788 for set@ discount tire direct (delivered). Should be the best street tire for the track besides a drag/street tire.
