I believe it was 96-98. I have a 97 andhavnt had any problems with it. Of those listed about, I would get the 96. If a car is that old, it doesnt matter if it a 96 or a 98. You need to look for one with low miles (which that 96 has pretty good miles) and one that has really been taken care of. There isn't much of a difference between the three years. 96 was the first year with the 4.6, but I havnt ever heard of there being problems pertaining only to the 96s.

In short, they're basically the same car (I think the 98 had a different intake system without dual intake runners but its not really a big difference). Find one thats in good condition with low miles and you'll be happy with it. Get black though...its proven to be the fastest color.
