I think its possible. My uncles has a 69 Shelby GT350 with a 351 and a 4 speed, and we mess around on the freeway all the time and its not to hard to loose him...

cause the guy's just about to get out the navy and he's gonne be in town soon with his car and i just know he's gonna wanna mess around...I was thinkin that it wouldn't be that hard....I mean I have nearly 40 years of technological advancement on him...andI think his car would be a good deal heavier than mine...Not sure though...

If its stock you will walk him harcore, but with my old mach I was keeping up with modded SRT4s with a mild cam, World Heads and roller rockers, and Perfomer intake. It was an auto and I never got it dialed in right either. If its modded you might be seeing that 1960s technology from behind.

The weight difference isn't as much as you might think. If that 351 is really stock, then you should be able to take him. However, you can probably count the number of stock '69 Mustangs on one hand. Even a mildly cammed 351 with a 4V intake and decent carb will give you a bit of trouble. Put a healthy cam in it, and you will be lucky to see his tail lights.
