I used coarse 1 in screws and that was it. No issues. I might throw a washer on each for security.

i used what came with my AM kit, works fine and its stillsecurly on three months later. maybe you had the wrong size drill bit?

dont use those cheap push pins.
go to your hardware store and get 16 sheet metal screws with some washers and usethose.

I used the ones that came with the packaging and they worked great. I believe the correct bit size was 1/2", I think.

i used all 1/4-20 cap head bolts with a washer on each side...i might take them out and put stainless ones in

Yeah american muscle said the 1/4" but It seemed a smaller bit could have done it. Either way I wouldnt trust the ones that came with the kit going down a windy highway or dragstrip IMO.

Yeah I was helping iamyourdaddy but wasn't the one who stepped on the screws. The plastic ones they give you are pretty cheap, I wonder if you can just use a plastic wall ancor with a metal screw?

Use some rivets and that thing will not come off! Worked well with mine.
