I know this seems elementary, but how do you properly launch? I have a 5 speed and it seems that all you do is rev your car to a certain rpm, hold it there, then drop the clutch and go. Is this all there is to it? Or do you gradually let the clutch out? Thanks guys! I just got my new rims and the rears came with some 555R's and i want to really try them out like they are meant to be!

all the car's are different you just got to find the sweet spot where the car doesn't bog or spin the tires

just practice at lights and learn how to launch the car if you race/drag alot with your car.

at the track i launch at 4500-5000 and slip the clutch a little on slicks and it hooks

only do 6k rpm dump clutch launches if you WANT to break your rearend, or you already HAVE a built one, along with a tranny and clutch to boot, oh yeah, if you do that, i suggest some hoosiers or the like also lol.

slip meaning ride the clutch outreal quickinstead of just dumping it, it takes a bit of practice before you can get it just right though
