Might want to change over to a different type or brand of brake pad then.. Like hawk or something.. Mine are always bright..

IDK how its gonna look to paint them red or green... on a green car its just not gonna look right IMO.

I would say red or yellow. My first set was Yellow and Sh*t did they stand out. Long story short, they kept getting dirty and was hard to keep clean. So i said f**k it and just upgraded to a set that was pre-colored.

Duplicolor FTW!! its not hard and the quality only depends on how much time your willing to spend on the vehicle Mine is black on black btw

No they are decals/stickers that go right on the front two.. The rears will not support them though.. I've never had any problems with them..
