but even if i get the rods, crank, pistons, Wont i still need to get macine work done to the stock block, least fix the cylender egg shape, or is it safe to just drop in the forged pieces as long as i dont get a stroker kit

I would just get a complete forged shortblock (direct replacement for stock shortblock). That's what I am planning on this fall.

You might save a few bucks by piecing it together but in reality it's better to get a professional person/company do all the work IMHO!

im just tryin to save as much money as possible without skimping on quality, if i were to just buy a forged block can I run NO2 or is that still a major NO even with the forged internals

If you have a forged bottom end, or forged shortblock the sky is the limit as long as you have a good tune. I am looking at the DSS Racing Super Pro Mod shortblock that is supposed to handle up to 990 hp+. I am going to crank the boost up and spray on top of that.
