lol proshifted...wow...dont plan on using that bullit for a daily driver then! lol but just get ur POS 3650 rebuilt with more the POS parts that come in that POS trans. Unless you have a lot of money your next best bet would be to get a tko500 that would be kinda hard to break. Get your syncs from Ford, that guy is a POS just like your POS trans

I believe you can still shift with a clutch on a proshifted tranny to lighten the load.

The tko 600 is the replacement for the 3650

not direct modifications have to be such as purchasing a bell housing and it also requires a diffrent tranny mount and so forth...IMO its not a true bolt in swap, you need to purchase extra parts

Well, I don't think I'll go proshifted, I still want a dailey driver out of it, and it will remind me of driving a 18 wheeler again. I'll have to pass on that. I considered the tko 500& 600's, but I'm not sure what the end result will be on my stroker build once I get that project going. As far as price and bolt ins, well... I'm going to have to sell a few things and save a little or a lot.

I have the TKO 500, and I have been 100 percent happy with it.

The 600/500 are both direct replacements for the 3650. There is no outside difference between the 2, just different gear ratios. The 600 is rated higher because it has a longer 1st gear.

thanks for that thread, it was some good info. The only thing that has me pointed to the t56 is the .50 overdrive. I actually do a lot of driving and think in the long run it would save me money in gas, only it may take 40 years to profit off of it. but... what kind of difference in rpms is the .64 to the .50 overdrive? I know it depends on rear end gear too. I like the idea of running 4:30's on the 6 speed. what rear gear could I run and have the best of both worlds as far as drag time and highway time. Is a 3:90 a good ratio for a .64 overdrive to do this?
