Eh, who knows. Anything can happen in the real world. You know that as much as I.

Wouldn't you have expected to reach at least a 13.0-13.3 if you had gotten 300rwhp out of your GT when it was N/A?

I wasn't getting that much, Im estimating around 265 - 270 or so was all, because it was running like poo untuned. I only picked up a tenth with the cams, shoulds picked up 3 - 4 tenths. Sounded good though but wasn't much stronger. Gotta think, I went from 13.4 to 11.9 with just 412 hp, 112 hp isn't gonna drop me 1.5 seconds, probably only around a second at BEST. Plus my trap speeds were only 105 with all the bolt-ons. I ran good 60's and powershifted and thats all I could get outta the car.

I don't doubt that you could drive an LS1 to low 13's, Im just saying I don't think an average driver could do it.

I have 2 friends that are better than average drivers

So I guess you are assuming that S_man_9 is one hell of a driver and that anyone he comes across in an LS1 can't drive his way out of a wet paper bag.

If you stick the same driver in both cars, and let him get the hang of the car, I just don't see him keeping up with your original list of mods.

Now if someone wants to give me the stuff on your list, I will be happy to try to get him at the track and post the results here..

Eh, mines easy to drive. It's actually harder from a roll b/c it's harder to control the RPM's when it downshifts and starts to spin.

If you lived closer I'd let you drive it....well no, I wouldn't. You'd then promptly sell your GT and I'd feel bad for all the guys that worship you.

Im with MD. I go to the track on a regular basis and I have never ever seen a stock ls1 get any quiker than 13.6 nor have I ever seen a legitimate magazine say it can run any quiker than that. We are all in different parts of th country and dont know who each other are so you are always gonna have someone lieing saying thier car does this or their friends car does that . Hell I could say my GT runs low 13's to and no-one could prove me wrong but I dont do that because I would rather tell people the truth and say it runs 14.1 like it does. Just figuered I'd state my opinion.

Yeah... my roommate ran his best time of 13.8 and he was redlining every gear till the trap. My other friend has a 01 Z28 with a 9" rear and 4.10's and a 125 shot of gas and he runs a VERY consistans 12.2. Thats with mods so there is no was a stock LS1 is running anything below mid 13's. Without NOS he is running a 13.6.

P.S. With the mods you see below I ran a 13.57. Im just that damn good.

just an opinion: i love mustangs alot, and i respect any muscle car and even any import that is done right and is quick. but, i live here
florida and from what i see on the streets and from what i see at the track here, it takes most other cars so much more work to even keep up with an ls1. and im assuming that we're only talking about z'28's and t/a 's, because corvettes are a whole different story. for example, i have a friend who had a 6 speed '94 z28 with a hot cam(baby cam), longtubes, exhaust, and 3.73's and ran a 12.6 @112 mph with a horrible 60 foot. now he has an '01 vette with only headers and exhaust and pulls of high 12's all day with street tires and again bad 60 foot times.now just think of all the work u would have to put into a stang to pull off constistent 12's. but still, you guys have tons of nice cars and beating camaro's or not, theyre still quick enough for me

Nobodies sayin LS1's aren't fast, only that with a few carefully planned mods a GT can hang with an LS1 (well thats what Im saying).
