Default 2003 Cobra Pulley's

I havea question, i just recently got a 2003 cobra and wanted to upgrade the pulleys to make more HP. What is the best one to get out there that will produce the most Horse Power? Thanks

Billetflow, Richard Reichard are two pulleys that come to mind. First, before you pulley, I would suggest a upgrading your stock air intake and your exhaust. Don't forget to get a tune from a reputable tuner, not a canned tune.

Actually that stuff has been upgraded. It has the Borla cat back exhaust and cold air intake aftermarket. Should it be all set?

I would get a 2.93 upper pulley with a 4# lower.. supposedly that makes the best boost combination with a good tune of course. I am running a 2.81 upper with a stock lower, and am seeing nice power.

Side note: If you're going to pulley your cobra, I would advise to invest in a heat exchanger, and the head cooling mod... don't want anything popping in your motor due to added heat, now do we?

edit: my pulley is a steeda one i believe.. but people are big fans of the billitt flow stuff... whatever you do though, when you go to a smaller pulley - MAKE SURE YOU GET A TUNE!

Sorry about allt he questions, i just got my Cobra on monday and already am looking far ahead. But yeah where is the best place to get the Heat Exchanger, and the Head Cooling Mod. I do like what im seeing from Billetflow. I may go with that. Why diddnt you go for the 2.93 upper? did you do the heat sxchanger and cooling mod?

+1 on the tune... it needs to be spot on. You can get away without any cooling mods right now if you go with a 2.8 upper or like kazp has... but the HE is just added insurance on keeping everything running good. You might wanna look into some steeda or billetflow idlers to go with the pulley to minimize the slipping of the belts too.

Edit: If you havent already done so, open up your hood vents. Ford put the hood blanket over them and that traps so much heat. You can either take the blanket off or modify the blanket to where you have your vents open and the blanket cut around them. That will release alot of heat there alone.

Yes I have the Even Flow head cooling mod. There are 2 ones that are made. LDC and Even Flow.. LDC requires you drop the tranny, and Even Flow requries that you remove the blower. Niether is easy unless you know what you're doing. I would get a dual pass heat exchanger - whether it's LFP, or AFCO. http://www.lightningforceperformance...57b75042e310b4 -- there's a link to the one that I have. It was pretty easy to install, just had to take hte front bumper off - the only real son of a b...

My car came with the 2.81, and I didn't change it because I don't want to deal with changing my lower pulleys, im making fine boost with this setup.

Goldeneagle is right... those 2 mods are just caution mods, but these cars build up so much heat, im always running around nervous when im slammin it. The other day I was messin around nad heard a semi make a loud boom and my heart dropped into my ankles, lol... If you pulley your car those 2 things are 2 that you should do though.

It's ok with the questions, that's why the msg board is here for. Could also check out svtperformance.com- they have a ton of good info. Congrats on your Terminator.

is there much of a difference between the 2.93 pully and what you have? Hey thanks for that tip, i did notice that they were covered. also how do you feel about the predator tune? Is it pretty easy to use or would it be better to take it somewhere?

The difference between a 2.93 and a 2.81 is approx 1.8psi..

What you know about the larger ones? 3.10-3.65 would that add a lot more?
